More than just websites

We began in 1997 by designing the science fiction section of the James Thin Ltd bookshop site and since then we have designed intranets for the likes of Citibank and Royal Bank of Scotland, large sites such as ESI (www.esi.info) and also small sites such as Brae House (www.braehouse.info) and Loch Tay Fish 'N' Trips (www.lochtayfishntrips.co.uk).

We are all experienced professionals and only deliver bespoke designs for all the projects we are involved in.

As we have been working in web development since 1997 we have a lot of knowledge of what works and what doesn't and we can advise you on all aspects of the design process as well as keeping the site working properly after it has been delivered to you.

Over the first few months of 2011, and the launch of Internet Explorer 9, it has become apparent that mobile websites are now part of mainstream web development and as a response to this we have started coding all our new sites in HTML5 and CSS3 with media queries - by using these technologies our sites will still work in older browsers but will also function properly in the latest smartphones, iPad's and desktop computers. In other words design once, run anywhere.

ColdFusion, PHP & WordPress

Here at CyberPict we don't just design websites we can also provide all the back-end coding you could require including e-commerce.

Most sites today require at least some dynamic aspects and we can supply you with everything from a simple contact form to a very complicated SQL Server or MySQL database with ColdFusion or PHP coding.

For over 10 years we were involved in the programming of the extensive ESI website (www.esi.info). This site features thousands of companies and tens of thousands of products as well as a fully featured search mechanism, many dynamic contact forms, registration and personalisation and also user project folders and other tools. All programming for this site was undertaken in ColdFusion, in our opinion the fastest and best way to program on the web - a cost effective solution for all business types.

Many of our sites have been coded in PHP and MySql, an example is the Kevin Jackson Fine Art site where we created a custom CMS using PHP and MySQL to solve the specific needs of the client.

WordPress is a blog tool a publishing platform and a CMS. We can also install, set-up and host WordPress sites. We specialise in custom WordPress theme development as well as using WordPress as a fully featured CMS (Content Management System).
